It will hold a 4x6 picture but the front opening is a little smaller coming in at 5 x 3 1/4 (so your picture might be cut off a bit).

In good condition, the white paint of the cast iron has some minor scratches/scrapes but feel this adds to the shabby chic vibe. No chips/cracks.
