This is a unique vintage piece of MCM pottery from the Icelandic pottery Glit, known for incorporating real lava into their ceramics.

Many of these plates are a dark dreary color but this is bright with blues and reds in the center with raised pieces of lava. The rim almost looks like flower petals.
