This is an exquisite vintage Chinese jewelry/travel box made of black lacquer wood featuring gold dragons, phoenix, & cherry blossom design. It comes with original brass pin on a lucky red string. There are 3 drawers featuring beautiful illustrations, brass hardware, and a folding mirror that slides open perfectly. The mirror is in great condition- there is a small black line toward the top but it is not a scratch or a crack.
These types of boxes date back to the 1920s, so this may not just be vintage but a true antique. There are some scuffs and scratches which is expected with a piece of this age- but it is truly is excellent condition overall. Absolutely beautiful. It measures appx 8 inches x 10 inches x 7 inches (when closed.)
